Privacy and cookies
Locatan is operated by Alamas Labs. Contact [email protected] about privacy, access, correction or deletion of your information.
Using Locatan
We use account details, session cookies and the information you submit to provide sign-in, property research and your saved conversations. Session cookies are necessary for signed-in features. Your research prompts and housing preferences are not included in our advertising events.
Website measurement
Our Umami analytics service measures website use and campaign codes. Campaign events contain event names and validated campaign codes, without account identifiers, email addresses or prompt text. Their URLs exclude private conversation paths. Campaign attribution is kept in memory for the current page session.
Optional Meta advertising
If you accept advertising cookies, Meta receives a page-view event and named actions such as opening sign-in or submitting a query. These actions measure interest, not purchases or completed registrations. Meta also receives technical information such as your IP address, browser information and advertising identifiers. A Facebook click identifier may be used to attribute an ad visit.
The Meta Pixel runs in a separate measurement document with automatic event collection disabled. It receives no search text, property details, account details or private conversation URLs from Locatan.
Meta may set first-party cookies named _fbp and _fbc and process the information under its privacy policy. That policy explains Meta's use, retention and international transfers. We do not control Meta's retention of information already received.
Your choice
Advertising is off until you accept. Rejecting does not restrict Locatan. Use Cookie choices to withdraw consent; this stops our pixel and removes its accessible first-party cookies. Withdrawal does not erase data already sent to Meta. We store your choice in this browser for up to 180 days. If browser storage is unavailable, it applies only to the current page session.
